Sonya E. Destler is an emerging author from Ohio, blending dark romance, mythology, and supernatural themes. A mom of three and a full-time bank teller, she writes to inspire others to pursue their dreams—no matter where or when they begin.
Born in Ravenna, Ohio on February 1, 1988, Sonya E. Destler grew up surrounded by siblings and stories. Her love of books began with summer reading challenges at the local library, where she discovered the escape and joy of fantasy worlds. Today, she writes the stories she once searched for—ones filled with emotion, danger, and a spark of magic.
Inspired by Amelia Hutchins, Jennifer L. Armentrout, Sara J. Maas, and K.A. Knight, Sonya creates dramatic, immersive tales centered on strong characters and mythological stakes. When she’s not writing, she’s with her three kids, outdoors, or finding new inspiration through books, hiking, and swimming.
